Ages: 2.5 -5 with an adult

A weekend special version of our regular program, come and explore the farm to see what may be growing, sing songs, share a book and participate in a fun craft activity.

1st Saturday of the month: March 2, April 6, May 4, June 1, 2019, 10:00-11:00AM

(Register for one, two, three, or all four classes)

In March we'll search for SIGNS OF SPRING with a fun family scavenger hunt and learn about preparations for the growing seasons.

April is time to visit our baby CHICKS! cheep cheep cheep; learn all about the different types of chickens in our flock this year.

May is all about PEAS; harvest pea tendrils in the learning garden (great for pesto, stir-frying, and salads) and plant peas to take home to your garden or windowsill.

June is for the bees (and the butterflies)! Learn all about pollination as we search the farm for bees, butterflies, and other creatures.

Fee: $48 four-class pass; $15/individual class (no charge for adult caregivers)

Join our Friend of the Farm program at the Seed Sower ($70) level or above and receive 10% off children & family programs in 2019.

You must join the Friend of the Farm program before registering to receive the discount. All discounts are applied at checkout.

Location: Newton Community Farm, 303 Nahanton Steet. Class will meet on the colorful mat near the learning garden or in the big red barn in bad weather.

Suitable for ages 2.5 to 5 years old with a caregiver. All prices are per child and children must be accompanied by an adult with a maximum of 3 children per adult. 
Preregistration is required.

Parking: Please do NOT park in the farm driveway. There is street parking available on Winchester Street. Thank you.
