Pasta Making Workshop

05/25/2022 06:00 PM - 08:00 PM ET

Description

Join our Director of Education Matt Durham as we explore the joys of fresh pasta together! We will go over different pasta doughs and their cultural significance, as well as techniques you can take back to your home kitchens. The workshop will prepare you to make three different styles of pasta, using a variety of tools - some no more complicated than your hands! Matt comes from a Calabrian family and is looking forward to sharing some of his family's stories and traditions as we discuss pasta across Italy and how the craft has shifted and changed over time in America. Come ready to get your hands floured up as we dive deep into the differing worlds of pasta across the Italian peninsula. All participants will take home three different pasta shapes to be made in the style of your choice at home. Learn some new pasta techniques with us, and enjoy a dinner with them the next day!

Over the course of the workshop we will:

  • Learn about pasta, it's origins, and how it has changed over time
  • Make 3 different pastas to take home using 2 different pasta doughs
  • Enjoy some fresh pasta together using seasonal ingredients
  • Leave with 2 servings each of handmade cavatelli, pappardelle, and fettuccine

Join us for an evening of pasta filled fun!
