Wednesday, May 22, 2019
7:00PM-9:00PM
Featured cookbook: Six Seasons: A New Way with Vegetables by Joshua McFadden with Martha Holmberg
Fee: Free when you cook a dish from the cookbook to share
Don't have time or just don't feel like cooking? Fee: $10 per person
Join fellow community members for a fun cookbook themed dinner in our historic barn. Part potluck, part book club, we'll choose a different cookbook or author each time we meet for inspiration. Guests are asked to choose a recipe and make enough to share (6-8 servings). Feel free to follow a specific recipe or interpret to your own taste. Want to join in the fun but prefer not to cook? no problem! Just pay $10 per person to help support the event.
This month's meeting will feature Six Seasons: A New Way with Vegetables, a James Beard Award winning cookbook, focused on seasonal vegetables. We'll have a few copies for reference at the farm or check your local library or bookstore.
Participants under 18 must be accompanied by a participating adult.
Registration is required.
Location: Newton Community Farm, 303 Nahanton Steet. Dinner will be held in the barn and on the barn deck, weather permitting. We will meet rain or shine!
Parking: Please do NOT park in the farm driveway. There is street parking available on Winchester or Nahanton Street. Thank you.
